I graduated with honors from Indiana University School of Law in 1987. I immediately moved to St. Petersburg, Florida and began my law practice. I have been awarded the highest rating that an attorney can receive in both legal ability and ethics from Martindale Hubbell, which is the premier attorney rating firm. It is called the AV rating. It took many years of practicing law to achieve that rating and I am extremely proud of it. Before becoming a lawyer I worked as a pharmacist for nine years. I graduated from Butler University’s College Pharmacy, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Representing the disabled requires reading and analyzing medical records, interpreting the results of lab tests, and understanding the effects medicines can have on a person’s ability to work. My training as a pharmacist has, therefore, helped me immensely in my day-to-day representation of my clients.
I graduated with a certificate of concentration in Elder Law from Stetson University College of Law where I was also honored with the Dean’s Award in 2015. I received a Bachelors Degree, with Honors, from the University of South Florida. I have been working alongside Mr. Young for six (6) years. I also practice in the areas of Guardianship and Elder Law. I worked as an assistant to Mr. Young while attending law school, and at the same time, cared for six inspiring children, all as a single mom. I have first hand knowledge of disabilities as the mother of a young child with multiple disabilities including Down Syndrome, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder; and as the child of a parent with Schizoaffective Disorder.
